ElLIGIBILITY
Writers from ALL COUNTRIES are welcome.
This contest is open to anyone over the age of 21, except employees, associates and immediate family members of Wasteland, Inc. (Sssh.Com) (“Wasteland“).
All of the creators (collectively, the “Contestant“) of the submitted materials, whether in the nature of an idea or any other content or material (collectively, the “Submission“), must sign this entry form and attached release.
Multiple Submissions are permissible.
Once a story has been submitted, no substitutions of new drafts or corrected pages will be considered.
A Submission must be the original work of the Contestant.
The story must not have been previously optioned, sold or produced for profit.
The Contestant has retained at least one copy of the Submission, and Contestant agrees and understands that the Submission will not be returned under any circumstances.
The Contestant understands and accepts that the Contestant is an independent contractor and Sssh.Com is not responsible for withholding on Contestant’s behalf any taxes or payments to any government agency, at any level, including the state, local and federal levels.
The Contestant agrees to fully accept all of Sssh.Com decisions with regard to the Competition.
SCREENPLAY FORMAT & LENGTH
Stories must have a title page containing: the title, the Contestant's name(s), the Contestant‘s email address(es), and phone number(s).
Screenplays must be:
- in English;
- in 12 point Courier font;
DEADLINE AND ADDITIONAL RULES
All scripts must be postmarked by July 31, 2011. Submissions after July 31, 2011 will not be accepted.
Sssh.Com must receive a minimum of ten scripts in order for a winner to be selected.
Sssh.Com is not responsible for any Submissions including late or lost Submissions.
PERMISSION
Entry of the Submission in the Competition constitutes permission for Sssh.Com to use the Contestant’s name(s), Submission and any other information provided in the contest entry for any business purpose, including for promotional purposes in any media.
In addition to and without limiting the foregoing, Sssh.Com shall have (i) the right to use any Submission or part thereof in the production of a film and (ii) the right to post any Submission or part thereof on its website.
PRIZE
The winner of the Competition selected by Sssh.Com will receive their fantasy produced into a movie short

CONTESTANT’S REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES
The Contestant represents and warrants that (i) the information provided by Contestant on this entry form is truthful and accurate and (ii) the Contestant is the owner of all of the right, title and interest in and to the Submission.
By signing this legal document below, the Contestant acknowleges that he/she has read and agrees to comply with the terms and conditions stated herein. The Contestant agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Competition, Wasteland, the Competition sponsors, and Sssh.Com, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, licensees and assigns, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives from any claim or liability related to the Submission and/or use of the Submission.

In submitting this entry, each of the individual(s) listed below (collectively, the “Contestant“) agrees as follows:
1/ All of the submitted materials, whether in the nature of an idea or any other content or material (collectively, the “Submission“) shall become the sole property of Wasteland, Inc. (“Sssh.Com“).
2/
As a condition to eligibility, Contestant assigns, transfers and conveys to Sssh.Com, effective upon entry of this Submission, all right, title and interest in and to the Submission, including all associated copyright and other intellectual property rights.
3/
The Contestant will not be paid for the Submission or for the granting of any rights.
4/ Sssh.Com is not obligated to use any Submission or to give Contestants credit if any Submission is used.
5/ Entry of the Submission constitutes permission for Sssh.Com, and any of its contest sponsors, to use Contestant’s name, Submission or any other information provided in the contest entry for any business purpose, including for promotional purposes in any media.
6/ The Contestant represents and warrants that (i) he/she/they is/are the sole author(s) and creator(s) of the Submission; (ii) the Submission does not violate any applicable law, (iii) there are no disputes regarding ownership of the Submission, (iv) the Submission does not infringe or violate any intellectual property right held by a third party, and (v) the Submission may be utilized for all purposes without obtaining permission from, or making any payment, to any third party.
7/ The Contestant agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Wasteland Inc. / Sssh.Com Screenwriting Competition (the “Competition“), Wasteland, the Competition sponsors, and Sssh.Com, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, licensees and assigns, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives from any claim or liability related to the Submission and/or use of the Submission.
8/ The Contestant understands that Sssh.Com accepts no liability whatsoever for loss or non-receipt of any Submission and Sssh.Com will not return and is not obligated to return any materials submitted to the Competition.
9/ The Contestant understands that the Competition is not an evaluation service and that the judges are not obligated to provide any feedback to the Contestants regarding their Submissions.
10/ The Contestant has read this release and the Competition’s other rules and regulations, understands them, and has complied with them. The Contestant understands that failure to adhere to such rules and regulations will result in disqualification.
