Interviews We Love

The interview on the next four pages is from 2016 and appeared in a Norweigan Publication called Nettavisen

5.What is bad porn and what is good porn (said in another way, what is the difference between good and bad porn)?

Again, this is a question each director and each viewer might answer differently, but for me, good porn is porn that depicts real pleasure and enjoyment of sex, and in which sex is a positive, affirming experience. Bad porn is porn that just depicts mechanical pounding and “sexual gymnastics,” so to speak – almost like action movie stunts with graphic penetration. Too much of modern porn is like this, I think; just a series of sex acts that follow a kind of connect-the-dots formula, one in which the question of whether the performers enjoying themselves seems to have been irrelevant to the filmmaker.

6. Tell us a bit about SSSH.com, price, what the goal is, feedback from customers, etc?

The goal of Sssh.com is to deliver on the fantasies and scenarios my members and fans want to see. I’ve been taking surveys and soliciting feedback from site members and visitors for almost 20 years now, and that feedback informs the movies I make in a very important and fundamental way. Many of the movies and scenes I’ve shot over the years came directly from user suggestions – and in a couple of cases, the whole movie is based on a story, fantasy, or even real-life experiences described by members in their feedback.

7. What can men learn from porn made for women by women?

Women’s pleasure matters. We’re not just there to bring pleasure to men, or to give male viewers something to look at. You need to think about what women want, ask what women want – and then actually listen to what we tell you. 😉

8. I interviewed Sasha Grey once. She said that women enjoy rough and perverted sex just as much as men do. What are your thoughts/experience with that statement?

It depends on the woman, of course, but I know plenty of women do like rough and ‘perverted’ sex, because I’ve received plenty of emails from women who are Sssh.com members requesting movies which depict rough sex, or who say they enjoy rough sex in their private lives.

9. What are the trends/development/shifts in porn/people's requests since you started?

The biggest shifts, both in terms of porn production trends and what I receive requests for, are people wanting more hardcore material, more rough sex, hard BDSM, and three-way scenes featuring two men and one woman. I started getting a lot of requests for more BDSM back when “50 Shades of Grey” first started getting popular, which probably wasn’t a coincidence.
