Director Angie Rowntree’s new critically acclaimed post-apocalyptic thriller Invictus Up for Best Drama and Best Director

BOSTON (November 20, 2018) – Sssh.com, the female-led, female-focused indie adult film studio, today announced its new politically charged film, Invictus, and its founder and director, Angie Rowntree, were nominated for top honors for the 2019 AVN Awards: Best Drama and Best Director.

Invictus is an erotic foray into a dystopian near-future, depicting the story of scientist Jane Darling (played by Delirious Hunter) who is determined to combat the social and environmental decay into which the world has descended.

"My deepest gratitude is extended to the nomination committee at AVN". said Angie Rowntree, founder and director of Sssh.com "For the last few years I've been surprised and humbled when I see Sssh.com listed alongside the large studios. It is an honor above words. Thank you for recognizing and enjoying our movies."

Critics who have reviewed the film have taken note of how Invictus delves into a bold new territory, unique for an adult film, both compelling and thought provoking. In a recent review by Xcritic, Patrick Parker states, "Finally, a real movie that’s not afraid to show sexually explicit love scenes. Or maybe it’s a pornographic film that pushes the boundaries of plot and dialogue to be on par with mainstream filmmaking. Either way, this is something special."

Flash from Adult DVD Talk stated: "Invictus is a very well-done feature movie from Sssh.com that combines a good story, excellent sex scenes, and a message about the current state of affairs in the world. Invictus is porn with a purpose — a genre that should be far more widely used than it is at present. Fans of modern feature movies won't want to miss Invictus"

The R-rated version of Invictus is available to view at https://sssh.com/invictus_r/

A free screener of the explicit version of the film is available to the media, as well. Contact press@sssh.com for login credentials. An explicit version of the Invictus trailer can be viewed at https://sssh.com/invictus_trailer_nsfw/
