Angie Rowntree, Dee Severe and Shine Louise Houston Will Appear March 11
AUSTIN TX (February 28, 2018) - Three critically acclaimed women filmmakers will screen select erotic narrative films during an intimate event held in Austin, Texas, on March 11 at 7 p.m.
Shine Louise Houston (PinkLabel.TV), Angie Rowntree (Sssh.com) and Dee Severe (Severe Sex Films) will be on hand while attendees sample their work. Performer Jiz Lee will host the event. Sociologist Dr. Chauntelle Tibbals will moderate the filmmaker Q&A immediately following the screening.
#SexStoryFilmFest will be held at the Austin Dungeon, a private space located approximately ten minutes from downtown Austin (exact location to be disclosed with ticket purchase), from 7-9 pm CT on March 11. Doors open at 6:30. The event is made possible in part by Takedown Piracy with publicity support by AVN Media Network.
Works to be screened include Angie Rowntree's Gone (a 2016 AVN Awards nominee for Best Drama and a 2016 semi-finalist at the Swedish Film Festival); Dee Severe's Corrupted by the Evils of Fetish Porn (with 2018 AVN Awards nominations for Best Comedy and Most Outrageous Sex Scene); and a selection of clips by Shine Louise Houston from Snapshot (Movie of the Year at the 2017 Toronto International Porn Festival), Birthday(2018), Put the Needle on the Record (2016) and Bed Party: Eden Alexander and Sebastian Keys (Best Boygasm Award winner at the 2014 Feminist Porn Awards).
#SexStoryFilmFest will be held during the city's bustling SXSW festival but is not an official part of the program. The three directors are participating in an official talk during SXSW, but tickets for this event are a modest $12.
